| Among the 10,000 Standardbred foals born in North America each year, virtually all are born brown or bay while there are occasional greys and chestnut Standardbreds, they are the exception to the rule. On May 6, 2012 a New Jersey breeder's bay mare 'Coochie Mama' gave birth to a white colt by a bay stallion! The colt has a sprinkling of reddish brown between his ears and on his mane.
