| Halfway through the Global Champions Tour series, Edwina Tops-Alexander has maintained her lead after finishing seventh riding Cevo Itot Du Chateau in the Monaco Grand Prix and just four faults. In the lead up to the London Olympics and speaking at the post event press conference Edwina said, "We are only halfway through the series so a lot could change. It is quite hard to hold a lead the whole way through but I hope I can do it. My horse has been very consistent and he jumped great today. I am very happy about today. It is my horse's last preparation before the Olympic Games." French rider Kevin Staut was the victorious winner of the Monaco Grand Prix on the Belgian bred gelding Reveur de Hurtebise. Even though horse and rider have only been a combination for two months the duo put in the fastest clear round to take the podium position.
