Will Totilas be automatically selected for London? - 6th Jul 2012
Totilas, the dressage wonder horse, will miss the second selection trial for the German squad at Aachen this weekend, as rider Matthias-Alexander Rath is reported to have glandular fever.
His father will keep the horse competition-fit for London while Rath rests, optimistically hoping to recover from the debilitating virus in two weeks.
While German riders keep their own counsel, national newspaper Stern has queried the presumption that Totilas will automatically be selected.
