| UK Journalist Liz Jones, for the Daily Mail UK, has published and article titled "Women make the best riders because they love horses, not just medals" in the aftermath of the London Olympics 2012. Liz states in her article "The understanding between double Olympic dressage gold medallist Charlotte Dujardin and her horse, Valegro, has been described as 'telepathic'. In interviews after her victories in Greenwich, she gave her mount most of the credit, saying he is 'a once-in-a-lifetime horse'. Compare this to the all-male showjumping team members, who in a post-victory interview didn't mention their horses once."
