Keeping a low profile on the main arena, but always busy behind the scenes, Paul Austin did the honours with the Riverglen Stud, Austin and Lilley nomination, 'Riverglen Zion' to claim the Champion Led Australian pony award.

Successful rider, Angela Latter won the class for Lady Rider over 40.

Tess O'Connor, second in the class for Lady Rider 18 AU 21 came in for and claimed the Reserve Champion Lady Rider title.

Janine Shepherdson is pictured with her own and the Harper-Purcell nomination, 'Sigmund' that won the class for Thoroughbred Gelding N/E 16hh. The 2018 Brisbane Royal Champion Led Thoroughbred Gelding went on to claim the 2019 Canberra Royal Reserve title. Later in the day, Sigmund was declared Champion Thoroughbred Under Saddle.

Brynie Lee has been winning Rider classes up through the age groups and now at just 18 she won the class for Lady Rider 18 AU 21 Years and went on to be declared 2019 ACTewAGL Royal Canberra Show Champion Lady Rider.

Clair Osbourne took out the Australian Saddle Pony Stallion Reserve Championship with her own and Michael Osbourne's, 'Wynara Sweet Revenge'.

All the way from Mt Barker in South Australia, Janita Edwards has had a great show with her, 'Chalani Tempo' that won the class for Ridden Australian Stock Horse Stallion this morning.

Campbell Jones from Scone won the class for Gentleman Rider 18 AU 21 Years.

No surprise result. Adam Oliver, another youngster to have been successful through the age groupe won the class for Gentleman Rider 21-40 years and went on to be declared Champion Gentleman Rider.

Hunter Taylor rode well to win the class for Boy Rider 15 AU 18 Years.

Chase Jackson turned 8 today. He won the class for Boy Rider 7 AU 9 Years and is pictured aboard the delightful, 'Elvonara Park Kandyman' during the Supreme Junior Rider ride off. He didn't get the nod, but he did steal the show.

Kate Kyros from Adelaide won the class for Girl Rider 13 AU 15 Years and stepped aboard the successful Show Hunter, 'Federer' to claim the Supreme Junior Rider award.

Elizabeth Taylor had a busy morning. First up the Girl Rider 11 AU 13 Years winner was working out in the Supreme Junior Rider ride off and then swapped to Marcia Beard's Champion Ridden Riding Pony, 'Rhyl Monarque'. The Open 12-12.2hh winner took out the Reserve Champion Small Pony award.

Michelle Paynter's, 'Rokewood Tiger Moth' won the class for Pony Hack Gelding N/E 12.2hh.

The beautiful, 'Newington Tinkerbell' ridden by Ella Manning and nominated by Margot Haynes, David Quayle and Catherine Gale took second place in the class for Pony Hack 11.2-12hh and the Pony Hack Mare N/E 12.2hh. She is pictured working beautifully as usual.

This quartet, L-R Chloe Dwyer, Brittney Tamou, Amy Taylor and Amie Want don't look as if they are dressed to muck out the stables. They are however in running for the Best Dressed Strapper conducted in conjunction with the Led Thoroughbred judging. Brittney Tamou won the class sponsored by Hats In Fashion (Kerry McGlone).

Dale Plumb, pictured with Champion Thoroughbred Mare, 'DP Gisele' was a conternder in the Best Dressed Male Strapper class.

Tahlia Young is pictured aboard the Gerry and Telford nomination, 'Whitmere Ethereal' that won the class for Open Pony 12.2-13hh.

Renae Dorney's, 'Nottingham Love Song' won the class for Open Pony 13-13.2hh ans went on to be declared Champion Large Pony Hack.

Margot Haynes rode her own, David Quayle, Chris and Shelley Pollard's, 'Carlingford Park Honour High' to win the class for Open Pony 13.2-14hh and go on to claim the Large Pony Hack Reserve Championship.

With a spring in their step, Greg Mickan leaves the arena with the Romsey Park, Jillian Goldsmith and Kym Ellery nomination and Champion Galloway Hack, 'Highgrove In Your Dreams'

Stephen Gladstone's beautiful Gelding Showing Thoroughbred Qualities winner, 'Heartbreaker' is pictured during the 2019 ACTew AGL Royal Canberra Show Hack Championship workout.

Margot Haynes is pictured with her own, David Quayle and Emily Murray nomination and Hack Mare winner, 'Royal Highness'.

Simon Deleeuw is pictured aboard the Leah Walsh and SJM Equestrian nomination, 'KP Royal Prince'. The 2018 Canberra Best Novice Hack and Reserve Champion won the class for Open Hack 15-15.2hh.

"If you've got it flaunt it" and Michael Christie and 'Mikimoto' certainly have it. Sandra McCann and Joh Bailey's superstar 15.2-16hh winner, stood beautifully during the unsaddled examination by the judge Charlotte Scott and claimed his eleventh Royal Show Championship.

Chris Lawrie has ridden many Champions and judged many Champions and he may have kept the best for the autumn of his extraordinary showing career. Chris claimed the Best Novice Hack award with his, 'Royal' and after winning the Open 16-16.2hh class, claimed the 2019 ACTew AGL Royal Canberra Show Hack Reserve Championship.

Kelsey Bennett claimed the Ridden Thoroughbred Reserve Championship with her Over 16hh Mare wiinner, 'Undermine'.

A Royal visit, Who knew? Her Majesty The Queen (aka Peta Skains) was pictured on the 2019 ACTewAGL Royal Canberra Showground accompanied by a member of the Household Cavalry, Mitchell Bensley. They made a cameo appearance in the "Royal" Fancy Dress competition.

Jenny Weule claimed the Led Australian Stock Horse Championship with her, 'Netherway Touch of Class'. The mare by Glen Lee Rivoli Teak today was declared Champion Ridden ASH and Supreme Australian Stock Horse Under Saddle.

Bill Peadon rode his own and Julie Peadon's gelding, 'Starwaltz Verdict' to claim the 2019 ACTewAGL Royal Canberra Show Working Australian Stock Horse Championship.

Candice Carroll's, 'CP Slimplicity' was declared Champion Gelding and Supreme Champion Led Thoroughbred. The victory was all the more sweet, as the horse was seriously ill in November. Candice is pictured with L-R Roz Keir, one of those responsible for the 2019 ACTewAGl Royal Canberra Show and Thoroughbred judge, Brendan Mackay.

What a show. Nominated by The Crawford Twins, 'Braeburn Park Spring Dance' was ridden by Annabelle Richardson to claim the Best Novice Small Pony title and today she went all the way to claim the 2019 ACTewAGL Royal Canberra Show Champion Small Pony Hack award.

Well known and successful showing exhibitor, Briony Randle from Victoria rode the BC Show Team and Judy Ivory nomination to win the Lightweight Galloway 14.2-15hh and go on to take out the 2019 ACTew AGL Royal Canberra Show Reserve Champion Galloway award.

Popular and successful Victorian rider, Clint Bilson won the class for Gent Rider Over 40 and went on to be declared Reserve Champion Gentleman Rider.
