Both Jessica, (rider) and Jacque Towns (mother) look very pleased to have won the class for Girl Rider 6 AU 8 Years.

Kaycee Wallen (bearing a strong resemblance to her father, Alan) looks to be taking her riding class very seriously. From Mt Tarampa in Queensland, Kaycee took second place in the class for Girl Riders 8-10 Years.

Both Mounted Steward and 'Blue Poet' have their eyes on the action. The lovley Thoroughbred had a successful career on the track, winning in excess of $300,000 and is now in great demand as a Clerk of the Course horse.

Representing the fourth generation of the Edwards family at the Brisbane Royal Show, Lachlan Edwards took second place in the class for Boy Riders 10-12 Years.

James Matheson from Tarampa in Queensland took sixth place in the class for Boy Riders 10-12 Years.

Eight year-old, Kira-Lee Newman from the Sunshine Coast rode well to win the class for Girl Riders 8-10 Years.

Another victory for a delighted Sabrina Durante. Ten-year-old Sabrina from Pimpama in Queensland won the class for Girl Riders 10-12 Years and went on to claim her second Brisbane Royal Champion Girl/Boy Rider Under 12 award.

Peter and Shane Keir's 'Canberra Park Stepalong Mollie' with Shane at the reins, won the Light Delivery Turnout class and went on to claim the Reserve Champion Single, Medium or Heavy Horse Turnout.

Jason Mountney from Sarina in Queensland took eight place in the class for Boy Riders 12-15 years.

Christopher Ware from Duri in NSW won the class for Boy Riders 12-15 and went on to be declared Champion Boy Rider 12-17 years.

Daniel Squire from Boggabri in NSW won the class for Boy Riders 15-17 years.

Jacob Swift from Chambers Flat in Queensland was second in the Boy Rider 12-15 and went on to be declared Reserve Champion Boy Rider 12-15 Years.

Shae Partridge, with some well colour cordinated help from Dad, Len, won the class for Girl Riders 3 AU 6 Years.

Jordie Lee-Young rode well to take second place in the class for Girl Riders 3 AU 6 Years.

Katie Marriott was all smiles for 10th place in a well-attended Girl Rider 3 AU 6 Years.

Georgia Gunew looks delighted to be competing at the Ekka in the class for Girl Riders 3 AU 6 Years, but leader, Todd McDonald-Smith looks a little concerned during the workout.

Sophie Streefkerk was delighted to take eighth place in the class for Girl Riders 3 AU 6 Years.

Anna Douglas had a difficult start to her workout for the Girl Rider 6 AU 8 Years, but regained her mount and almost her composure to go and and ride well, with encouragement from Frank Sanatra look alike, Paul Austin.

Samuel Southern complete with the Showmans Guild of Australasia soft toy, took fourth place in the class for Boy Riders 3 AU 6 Years.

This is the third consecutive, annual portrait of 6 AU 8 Years Boy Rider, Matthew Scoffell. Matthew's continued enjoyment from his participation at the EKKA is infectious. He was of course delighted with his fourth place.

Ned Claxton, winner of the class for Boy Riders 6 AU 8 Years parades off with some help from well-known showing identity, Anthony Mountney.

The RNA made a presentation to 84 year-old, Kev Wallen in recognition of his contribution to the EKKA. Mr Wallen first attended the show as an eight year old and has not missed the last 74 shows.

Heidi Mellers was back in the saddle riding the imported seven year-old mare, 'Tara Ni Quidam' by Quidam to take fourth place in the first Group C competition.

After and injury lay off , Ronnie Easey is back to his winning ways. Ronnie was first in the Group C with 'Hallucinate' and second riding 'Fly Buy' (pictured). Later in the day Ronnie won the Group A A2 riding the experienced, 'Trumby Blue'.

Jemma Coleman rode her attentive and attractive, 'Slap Happy' to take third place in the Group C AM5.

Hannah Evans rode her wonderful 'KT Madigan' to win the Girl Rider 12-15 Years class and go on to be declared Champion Girl Rider Under 17. Hannah stepped up from Reserve Champion last year.

Sidney Anning rode well to take second place in the class for Girl Riders 12 AU 15 Years. Sidney went on to take out the Reserve Under 17 Championship.

Katika Lipp from Toowoomba took eighth place in the tough class for Girl Riders 12 AU 15 Years.

Jenna Mass was delighted to take out the class for Girl Riders 15 AU 17 Years.
