It was good to see Alice Springs resident Fay Hatch make the long trip back to Darwin Royal, Fay and her ledgendary horse Faraday dominated the NT hack classes for many years. This year Fay brings a new face to the Royal, PS Loftin which she rode H/C in the Official Preliminary.

Jodie Luke rode Perrivale Darken to win the Official Preliminary 1.3.

The noise from the jet fighterss that fly over the show grounds on training missions from the local air base is often deafening.

Catherine Mayo and her horse Just Gus are paying full attention to Victorian Judge Linden Hearn, as he gives them some directions after an error of course. Linden was very encouraging and helpful to a number of young riders making their first visit to the Royal dressage arena.

Shaylee Bird rode Victorian bred, Hollybrook Milton into first place in the Open/Associate 1.2.

Chris Hazel and Mocha had the higher grades to themselves today, with well know and popular competitor, Pam Crellin having an altercation with the ramp of her truck this morning. Pam was taken to hospital but reports are that there are no broken bones and it is to be hoped Pam will make a quick recovery.

Samantha Perez-Ruiz and Stonage Tales competed in the Open/Associate 1.2.

It was good to see Juanita Porter with another pretty face in the ring. Juanita found and started former National Champion Hack, Lemrac's Dancing Poet. Today Juanita rode Lemrac's Laureate to win the Senior Associate Preliminary 1.4.

Madina Hayman and Kiana Blue Murder won the Official Novice 2.3.
