Things were not looking good for Emily Anker and 'ESB Irish Accent'. A broken stirrup leather really unbalanced Emily, but look how Irish Accent is locked on to the next fence. Emily was able to sit up and pull him up and due to the gear failure, retired from the competition.

Young Queensland rider, Emma Dougall and her 'Dotcom' gave her older peers a riding lesson today. A beautifull  and faultless run across country had them in first place with 46.7 penalties heading into the showjumping phase of the CCI***.

Sadly a run out added 20 penalties to the dressage score posted by Western Australian combination, Deon Stokes and 'Red Bull'. That error in the CCI*** saw them slip from ninth to 17th, but tomorrow is another day.
