Chadd Donovan rode his eight year old warmblood, WP Amicus to second place in the Red Rooster Pacific League World Cup Qualifier. Amicus by Kanero Artimus was in his first World Cup after jumping in Part Three at the Royal last year.

Rory Hovell started the show well with his impored Quelle Damme Van De Heffinck with a win in the Countryman Cup. This combination went into the Red Rooster Pacific League World Cup Qualifier as favorite. However, with the first down and an early stop they opened the door for other combinations.

Neil Ozanne rode his and his wife Kaylene's, Cleveland Bay mare, Sarnia Park Flaunt, to finish with 4 faults after two rounds of the Red Rooster Pacific League World Cup Qualifier resulting in 4th overall.

Linda Dobson's World Cup horse was still in quarantine following its arrival from the Eastern States. So young rider Paul Curtis (who works for David and Linda) offered his 11 year old ex-race horse, Candyman to Linda for the class. Linda, who had sold Candyman to Paul three years ago, quickly regained a good partnership with the horse to take the class with four faults in the first round and a quick clear in the second. Paul was thrilled with his horse's win declaring, "it's the biggest he has ever jumped". Paul will step back on board for this weekend's State Junior titles.
