Veteran driver Grorge Bowman is a favourite in Australia and of course in many other places. The 72 year old driver from Penrith in Cumbria in England breeds his own Hackney Gelderlanders and his well matched team is just six years old. George has been British Champion Four in Hand Driver 19 times and this is his 16 World CHampionship.

'Round you come'. German driver, Ludwig Weinmayr turns his team  in the 'Seaside Resort'. The huge crowd gave them and all the other drivers a huge cheer as they exited this obstacle. As can be seen from most of the photographs the weather was beautiful today, and for the first time warm. Weinmayr is in 18th place with the German team, first.
