A new career for Duretto

But he didn't make it to the track on the first Tuesday in November after fracturing his leg at trackwork only a few days after his Caulfield Cup run.

Duretto's owners put everything into ensuring he had the best chance of recovery and about a year later, with his leg mended, he returned to the races for the Matt Cumani stable.

But he wasn't the same horse as in 2018 and after two underwhelming starts, Duretto was officially retired.
