Aachen in Germany, Tryon Among 50 International Dressage Shows Postponed or Canceled Through July

The Aachen CHIO Nations Cups of dressage, jumping eventing and driving in Germany and the Tryon, North Carolina CDI3* are among about 50 international dressage shows postponed or canceled so far through to the end of July amidst the coronavirus pandemic.

Achen, the world’s premier equestrian event and key to what was to be selection of several national teams, including the United States, in early June before the Tokyo Olympics were put off until next year, will be re-scheduled, the organizers report, until later this year. An alternate date was still being worked out.

Balve that was to have hosted the German Grand Prix championships in mid-May and along with Aachen two weeks later to figure in selection of the Olympic squad was earlier re-scheduled for September.

Tryon, North Carolina that hosted the 2018 World Equestrian Games, was canceled after the North Carolina governor mandated that no events with 50 or more people could be held through May 15.
