Ailing Subzero being hand-fed by his best mate

Much-loved 1992 Melbourne Cup winner Subzero had a rough start to Friday but pricked his ears on being hand-fed by his long-time best mate Graham Salisbury.

Subzero has “a lot to contend with” but is “comfortable and trying hard” after being diagnosed with another health issue.

“Subbie” has fought off colic this week and the 30-year-old racing legend was also put on a drip after his kidneys showed signs of shutting down.
