Alexis Hellyer on Bluefields Floreno win Brisbane CDI3* Grand Prix

BRISBANE, Australia, July 19, 2018–Just hours before Australia was to declare combinations for the World Equestrian Games, Alexis Hellyer on Bluefields Floreno posted a personal best score to capture the Brisbane CDI3* Grand Prix Thursday.

Alexis and the 13-year-old Australian-bred stallion scored 70.913 per cent, surpassing the previous best of 70.478 per cent logged a month ago.

The 29-year-old rider and Floreno who have never competed outside the East Coast of Australia are expected to be named to the squad to go to the world championships in Tryon, North Carolina beginning Sept. 11, 2018.
