Australia’s Kristy Oatley & Du Soleil Win Weisbaden CDI4* Freestyle for Double Victory

WIESBADEN, Germany, June 5, 2022–Australia’s Kristy Oatley rode Du Soleil to victory in the CDI4* Grand Prix Freestyle Sunday for a double victory at this premier competition.

Kristy and the 18-year-old Hanoverian gelding scored 79.430%, just shy of their highest score for a musical performance of 79.840% posted at Neumünster, Germany in February. The pair won the Grand Prix Saturday.

Kristy is seeking to compete at the world championships in Herning, Denmark in two months that would be the second on Du Soleil, her partner for the past seven years. Their first world championship was at Tryon in 2018, as well as the 2016 Olympics and the 2017 World Cup Final. All told, Kristy has ridden at four Olympics and four world championships.
