Coronavirus shutdown puts disability services like HorsePower Australia in a tough position

For 20-year-old Jessica Turner, not being able to go horseriding amid the pandemic has been difficult, especially as it has meant time away from seeing ex-racehorse Rory.

"My Asperger's syndrome diagnosis means I’m quite anxious when interacting with people and Rory has been a great comfort to me during a very stressful time in my life," Ms Turner said.

"I guess the connection with them [horses], I don’t know, they don’t talk but they express their emotions [in] other ways."
