Cult horse Miss Vista euthanised after feet problems

Cult horse Miss Vista has been euthanised after ongoing feet issues caused her unbearable pain.

A Facebook post on Monday confirmed the five-year-old mare was put down. Nothing further could be done to alleviate her suffering and there was no hope of repairing the injuries.

It is a tragic end to a promising career which saw her win four races from 10 starts and over $170,000 in prizemoney.

The speedy mare won races at Flemington, Caulfield and Moonee Valley for trainer George Osborne but was most famous for her spectacular markings.
