Desperados Out of Aachen, Final World Equestrian Games Trial for Germany

WARENDORF, Germany, July 10, 2018–Desperados FRH, Olympic team and individual medal mount for Kristina Bröring-Sprehe, will not start at the World Equestrian Festival CHIO in Aachen, the last opportunity to earn a place on Germany’s team at the World Equestrian Games in two months.

The German federation announced Tuesday that the 17-year-old Hanoverian stallion “will not be fit in time” for Aachen where dressage will be staged next week.

Desperados, winner of team gold and individual bronze at the 2016 Olympics and team silver in the 2012 London Games, returned to competition in March after a 16-month break recovering from injury. The former world No. 1 won all four of her comeback CDI starts in March and April.
