EA Board Appoints Three New Directors

The Chair of Equestrian Australia, Alistair MacKinlay today announced the appointment of three directors to the national sporting body’s Board.

Helen Hamilton-James, John Glenn and Ricky MacMillan are appointed to the Equestrian Australia (EA) board effective immediately.

Helen Hamilton-James is a former eventing rider and Chartered Accountant and Qualified Auditor, with experience working with boards across all types of organisations. She is a current member of the National Financial Audit and Risk Management Committee of the Board of Equestrian Australia and will continue in that role.

John Glenn has been an active participant in Equestrian for over twenty years through the sponsorship of riders at both grass roots and elite levels. John is a consultant specialising in Government and Private sector interaction and is uniquely placed to work with the EA Board to strengthen the relationships between EA and its stakeholders in both the government and private sectors.

Ricky MacMillan has been a member of the Australian equestrian community since she was five and has represented Australia at the Sydney and Athens Olympics in dressage. She is an experienced rider coach and judge and well respected by the equestrian community for her comprehensive knowledge making her a vital community representative voice on the board.

Chairman Alistair MacKinlay said: “The Board is delighted to welcome Helen, John, and Ricky to the board of EA. Their unique mix of skills will be of great benefit to the ongoing good governance and integrity of our organisation and its relationships with our members, and our private and government sector supporters."

The three new directors will join Chair Alistair MacKinlay and directors Suzanne Doyle, Peter Toft, David Cameron and Gillian Canapini on the Board of Equestrian Australia.
