Equestrian Australia Appoints Two New Team Members

Equestrian Australia is pleased to announce the appointment of two new team members, Sasha Ulasowski in the role of General Manager – Sport Operations and Andrew Hamilton in the role of General Manager – Business Operations & Integrity.

Sasha Ulasowski has grown up around horses. She went through pony club, then into Interschool Queensland competitions, where she represented Brisbane Girls’ Grammar School at State level in multiple disciplines. Following high school, Sasha focused more seriously on the EA disciplines, particularly Eventing.

She is now an EA Level 2 General Coach, and for more than 18 years, has run her own coaching, agistment and professional equine facility in South East Queensland.

Alongside the above, Sasha has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business (Sports Management), a Diploma of Sport (Development) and has worked for Equestrian Queensland for the last 13 years as a Sport Development Officer.

Her portfolio over those years included Education, High Performance, Medication Control, Sport Development Funding, Clubs and Ready Set Trot.

Sasha is passionate about equestrian and has a personal understanding of the needs of coaches, officials, clubs and athletes.

Andrew Hamilton has more than 17 years senior management experience in government and the not-for-profit sector.

He has worked in federated and unitary structures, including organisations in sport, allied health, industry bodies, state government, charities and disability areas at local community, state and national level.

Working in member-based organisations, Andrew has extensive experience transforming organisations to create an environment that delivers operational excellence and enables an organisation to expand its services capacity and capability.

Using an evidence base, Andrew identifies trends and changes in the climate and has developed and successfully re-positioned organisations to develop best practice service standards.

Both of our new team members are looking forward to collaborating and working with all members to unify our current programs and progressing the sport.
