Equestrian rider Gabrielle Mills to compete in China

One equestrian rider has been granted the opportunity of a life time and will head to China to compete at the Gold Saddle Equestrian Club.

Gabrielle Mills was selected from a pool of riders from across the nation by Pony Club Australia to compete in show jumping and sporting.

Gabrielle is one of eight riders who will travel to China, with one rider from South Australia, two from Victoria, two from Queensland, one from Tasmania, and one other from NSW.

Riding since a young age, Gabrielle has developed the skills to ride in the majority of disciplines giving herself the benefit of being an all rounded rider, and has also been a member of pony club for 10 years.

Highlights of her career include competing at the Sydney Royal Easter Show, Pony Club State Championships in show jumping, and inter-school state championships for show jumping and eventing.

Gabrielle’s ability to ride a of variety of horses with success and to read a horse will come in handy when she has to choose her mounts from a pool of horses provided by Pony Club China.

All riders will leave for China on November 22 for 10 days, and Gabrielle is said to be thrilled to be included in the team as it will be the perfect environment to learn and experience equestrian activities in a different country.
