Exell Buoyed for Bordeaux Battle

Australian Driving Legend Boyd Exell is chasing his ninth World Cup title in 11 years in this year's final in Bordeaux...

The Driving star has been absolutely dominant in the last 12 months, having won his eighth FEI Driving World Cup™ Final in the French city a year ago.

He then took a third FEI World Equestrian Games™ individual title in Tryon in September before dominating the indoor season once more. Despite missing the podium in the World Cup season opener by surprisingy finishing fifth in Stuttgart, he's now on a run of five wins in a row and will be looking only for victory in front of the FEI TV cameras on Saturday morning.

In this new Equestrian World video (below) he looks back on a year of highs and explains the thrill of performing in Bordeaux.

"It’s always a welcoming public and each year they become more and more educated," he says. "The drivers so close in performance in the final – it could be a quarter or a half of a second between us on a minute-and-a-half course.

"Indoor driving has the magic formula of sport and entertainment and intense competition."
