Hygain group and fiber fresh feeds donate feed in fire crisis support

Australia is experiencing an unprecedented bush fire crisis. In an effort to support the victims who have been devastated by the crisis, particularly those in NSW, VIC & SA, the Hygain Group along with the New Zealand based Fiber Fresh Feeds are providing immediate support to front-line horse evacuation centres and support groups on the ground in affected regions.

The two Groups, spanning high quality feed under their respective brands of Hygain, Mitavite and Fiber Protect, have so-far committed over 75 tonnes or $100,000 worth of much needed feed and equine specific supplements to support the front-line disaster evacuation centres. This support will help to feed horses housed at the centres in NSW and VIC, as well as being distributed directly to farms via the support groups throughout the fire affected regions. In Victoria, where over 500 horses have been evacuated, Hygain and Fiber Fresh are providing feed and supplements directly to The Gippsland Horse and Stock Safe - Bushfire Assistance Group, which is currently servicing farmers from Albury/Wodonga through to Corryong along the NSW and VIC border down to Mallacoota and along the coast to Bairnsdale.
In New South Wales, Hygain and Fiber Fresh are also supporting the Cobargo Bushfire Relief Centre, servicing the fire affected regions of Bega and Eurobodalla Shires. The relief centre has been set up at Cobargo Showgrounds, where the Red Cross have joined their effort, supporting those in need.

In South Australia, Hygain is supporting the fire affected regions including the Adelaide Hills and Kangaroo Island via their distribution partner Natures Harvest, adding support for their customers, Coopers Farm Supplies, Oakbank Chaff & Fodder Store, Sandersons and KI Kennels & Fodder, who are providing on the ground support to affected properties in their region.

Hygain Feeds CEO, Nick White, said: “Hygain has chosen to support these groups directly to ensure this much needed feed and supplements are getting directly to those most in need on the ground.”
