Isabell Werth & Don Johnson Win Frankfurt CDI4* Grand Prix Freestyle in Horse’s 8th Year at Big Tour

FRANKFURT, Germany, Dec. 16, 2018–Isabell Werth and Don Johnson FRH won the CDI4* Grand Prix Freestyle Sunday, two weeks before the Hanoverian gelding turns 18 years of age and nearly eight years at Big Tour.

Isabell and Don Johnson were awarded 80.300 per cent for the win in their first show in seven months and the fourth victory in six starts this year. She has focused for most of the year on Weihegold OLD, her world No. 1 mount, Bella Rose, ranked third, and Emilion, standing fourth.

She plans to compete Don Johnson at the Doha CDI5* next March.

Don Johnson was ridden by Isabell at the World Cup Final and the European Championships in 2013.

Ingrid Klimke and Franziskus were second on 76.025 per cent with Finland’s Emma Kanera on Dambacu third on 75.325 per cent.
