Isabell Werth & Emilio win the Lyon World Cup GP Freestyle

LYON, France, Nov. 3, 2017

Isabell Werth and Emilio posted a personal best score to win the World Cup Grand Prix Freestyle Friday while Sweden's Patrik Kittel on Deja extended his lead in the Western European League standings to earn a start at the Paris Final next April.

Isabell and the 11-year-old Westfalen gelding ranked No. 4 in the world, scored 86.115 per cent, almost two percentage points higher than the previous best of 84.200 per cent set in February.

"This was a personal-best score with Emilio and I'm so happy because he worked so well, he was really relaxed but with so much power that he gave me goosebumps," she said after the ride in which three of the five judges awarded the pair well above 90 per cent artistic marks.
