Jarrod McLean appeal fails

Warrnambool-based trainer Jarrod McLean has failed in his bid to stop Racing Victoria from using police evidence against him.

McLean had his application to the Court of Appeal thrown out on Thursday, according to a NewsCorp report, paving the way for RV to pursue charges against him.

Primarily, the charges relate to the administration of recombinant human erythropoietin (EPO) to racehorse Cats Fun.

Other charges include possession of a prohibited substance, corruption, dishonesty, misleading behaviour and conduct prejudicial to racing.
