Jessica von Bredow-Werndl & TSF Dalera BB Win Grand Prix at German Championships, Top 4 Pairs Above 80%

BALVE, Germany, June 3, 2021–Jessica von Bredow-Werndl and TSF Dalera BB won the Grand Prix at the kickoff of the German Championships with the pair’s highest ever score of more than 85%. Team mates Isabell Werth on both Bella Rose and DSP Quantaz and Dorothee Schneider on Showtime FRH posted results above 80% with eight weeks to the Tokyo Olympics.

Jessica and the 14-year-old Trakehner mare ranked No. 3 in the world were awarded 85.040% from the all-German ground jury of five judges to open the German Championships. Six percentage points separated the high score of 87.700% and a low score of 81.700%.

Isabell on Bella Rose, the world’s top ranked partnership, was second on 81.320% with world No. 4 Dorothee Schneider and Showtime third on 80.520%.

Isabell, the most decorated equestrian in Olympic history with 10 medals–six gold and four silver–from five Games, rode DSP Quantaz to fourth place on 80.280%.

Jessica said after the ride: “The feeling was indescribable, there wasn’t a millisecond during the whole test in which Dalera or I even had the slightest doubt. I’ve never felt anything like it in my whole life, what I felt today in this arena. It was just full of strength, full of trust and full of ease. I have not yet managed that in its entirety. Today there is nothing to criticize about the gut feeling or the riding feeling.”
