Message from Equestrian Australia

To those affected by bushfires and a once in a century drought, our thoughts are with you every moment.

We live in many parts of our vast country but we are one community, our hearts reach out to you all.

EA advises its members and all horse owners in affected areas to take advice from experts.

Nothing is more important than protecting lives.

As the fires continue to burn across Australia, many of them still uncontained and at emergency levels and with no end in sight, EA is grateful for the messages of support we have received from within Australia and overseas.

With recovery efforts expected to take a year or even longer, many horse owners are going to need ongoing assistance

For those wanting to help we will work to set up a suitable and secure website to accept donations.

In the meantime, the National Farmers Federation has pulled together a useful one-stop-shop of key contacts for assistance with stock, fodder and general disaster assistance in NSW and Victoria:
