Moody discusses training return

Peter Moody intends to operate a boutique stable from Pakenham before the end of this season as the former champion Victorian trainer seeks to move on with his life.

Moody’s return to racing has been the subject of widespread speculation for weeks and after initial denials, Moody confirmed news of his return on Saturday.

“It wasn’t a secret, I would have just preferred to have got all my ducks in a row before announcing it – one having a stable firmed up, two having a training track to train on and three actually having a licence,” Moody said.

“I’m all at the behest of Racing Victoria, the Pakenham Racing Club and my family.
