While most sporting codes hold grand finals in locations convenient enough to draw large crowds, campdrafting chose to hold its national titles in one of the most remote parts of Australia.
Marked by nothing more than a service station and the intersection of four outback roads, Burke and Wills Road House hosted the Australian Campdraft Association's National Titles over the past four days.
Committee vice president Jack Morris said the event was the most remote to date.
"It's at Burke and Wills, which is a very big thing for northern Australia," Mr Morris said.
