Netherlands’ Edward Gal & Zonik, USA’s Adrienne Lyle & Salvino shoot up World rankings

LAUSANNE, Switzerland, Feb.1, 2018–Edward Gal, the former world No. 1, shot up 76 places in the world rankings with Glock’s Zonik to No. 18, boosted by a strong showing at the Amsterdam World Cup event in January.

The USA’s Adrienne Lyle on Salvino made an even bigger leap to 56th in the world, up 138 places from their end-of year ranking in 2017. Adrienne and Salvino boosted their standing with results from their only CDI so far in 2018, and only their fourth Big Tour event, after a six-month break from competition.

The rankings as of the end of January and released Thursday by the International Equestrian Federation (FEI) show relatively minor changes in the top 10, except for the addition of Jessica von Bredow-Werndl giving Germany seven of the highest places, the most ever.
