Oliver claims 10th Scobie Breasley Medal

Damien Oliver was recognised for another incredible season in the saddle with an unprecedented 10th Scobie Breasley Medal at the Victorian Racing Awards in Melbourne on Saturday night.

Oliver (60 votes) upstaged five-time Scobie winner Craig Williams (52) who, despite dominating last season's metropolitan premiership, again had to settle for second place behind the peerless Oliver.

Mark Zahra (48), Dwayne Dunn (33) and Luke Currie (32) rounded out the top five in the annual award, for which votes are given by stewards on a 3-2-1 basis at each metropolitan race meeting.
