Protesters keep up fight to save brumbies in high country

Supporters of Victoria’s wild brumbies have vowed to continue fighting plans to shoot the feral horses, as scores of people demonstrated against the culling program on the steps of the State Parliament.

Horse-lovers led two previously wild brumbies to the steps of Parliament on Tuesday to voice their dismay about Parks Victoria’s plans to cull the wild animals.

Australian Brumby Alliance president Jill Pickering said the fight was not over despite the recent legal setback.
