Sweden’s Patrik Kittel & Delaunay Win Budapest World Cup Grand Prix

BUDAPEST, Aug. 6, 2020–Patrik Kittel and Delaunay won the World Cup Grand Prix Thursday in the first international competition for Sweden’s top ranked rider since coronavirus pandemic caused suspension of horse sports almost five months ago.

Patrik, a three-time Olympian, and the 14-year-old Oldenburg gelding were awarded 75.196% for the victory in the second Central European qualifier leading to the World Cup Final in Gothenburg, Sweden next April.

Patrik’s first competition in pursuit of a start at the 2021 Final extended his current winning streak to three wins in three starts this year, having swept the Doha CDI5* on Delaunay in February.
