Tent pegging championships: Australians the silver stars in Oman

FIVE Australian women have starred in the world’s first International Ladies Tent Pegging Championships in Oman.

Victorians Donna Davidson and Michelle Gorey, of Chiltern, Christine Staats and Christina Swinton, of Deniliquin, in NSW, and Queenslander Taylah Smith placed second overall to take a team silver medal, only a few points behind South Africa, which won the gold.

Oman placed third.
