Toowoomba Royal Show's future in question, brought 'to its knees' by washouts, COVID-19

One of the country's biggest equestrian shows is in danger of being cancelled unless the local council contributes $150,000 to its running costs.

The Toowoomba Royal Show has been hampered year after year by bad weather and now a global pandemic, pushing it closer to financial breaking point.

President of the Royal Agricultural Society of Queensland, Shane Charles, said they will be forced to severely reduce next year's show in April unless they find financial support.
