Touchdown for Tom at Waratah

It was in November last year that Tom McDermott won the second of his two Australian Senior Championship titles and while many things in the world have changed in the past 12 months, one thing that remains constant is his winning form.

Today McDermott took both first and second places in the Tripp Family sponsored Grand Prix at the November edition of Waratah Showjumping. McDermott and Warraleigh Park Cortez were the only combination to clear all the rails twice and were deserved winners. McDermott’s other ride, Yalambis Finnigan saw a fault free and fast second round performance which when coupled with just a single rail in round one was enough to secure second place. James Arkins and WP Grandiamo had a similar performance, however, were just 1.33 seconds slower and had to be satisfied with third.
