World Championships Dressage Definite Entries for Herning, Denmark Aug. 5-10

World Championships dressage entries were released Tuesday with teams from 20 nations and 18 individuals from 14 countries set to compete in Herning, Denmark Aug. 5-10.

If all 20 teams start with two days of Grand Prix to decide medals, the lineup will be the second largest behind only the 2014 World Equestrian Games in Normandy when 24 nations competed. The championships held once every four years since the inaugural event in 1966.

For Herning, the Grand Prix Aug. 6-7 will decide team medals.

The Grand Prix Special Aug. 8 for individual medals will be the top 30 combinations from the Grand Prix, with up to four pairs permitted from any nation if qualified.

The Grand Prix Freestyle Aug. 10 will be of the top 15 from the Special.
