Rare opportunity to purchase a Shagya-Araber mare with an impressive European lineage. New-Moon Melita is affectionate and comes to meet you in the paddock. She was recently started under saddle and is going nicely in the arena and on trail rides. There are no vices, but she can be nervous and will require a sensitive rider until she gains confidence under saddle. Easy to float, trim, worm etc. A very good doer. Has been kept barefoot.

The Shagya-Araber is a Hungarian sport horse breed initially developed for the light cavalry in the 17th & 18th centuries. The breed is competitive in eventing and endurance across Europe and is well known in the carriage arena throughout Eastern Europe.

NM Melita is a strong type with excellent bone, graded 'Elite' with a conformation score of 81.43% on the 2018 Trakehners Australia National Tour. She's also already proven her worth as a mother, having had one foal, a filly.
