Media Release - Winterwood Farm Open Day

This is branded content for Winterwood Farm.

Winterwood Farm, established in 2018 by Catherine McDowell and David Mansfield, is the culmination of Catherine’s lifelong passion for beautiful horses.

Catherine is best known as Australia’s leading Equine herbalist and owner of McDowells, however, her primary love has always been dressage art, with a strong focus on holistic and classical training.

Catherine’s love of more unusual breeds associated with this art has influenced the breeding program she implements, with exquisite crosses between modern Warmbloods, Spanish and Friesian breeds.

Improvements in the capabilities of AI technicians, along with access to the latest genetics coming from Europe, has resulted in incredible and aesthetically pleasing horses with the temperament that make them extremely trainable, whilst adding something of interest in the competition arena.

Winterwood has seen a variety of developments over the years, all centered around providing horse owners and riders a top tier location for premium horse care facilities, training, along with horse sales catering to all budgets, including some of the highest gold standard pedigrees around the Central West.

For the first time, Winterwood is opening to the public for a free Open Day on March 24th, 2024, from 9am to 3pm.

Owner, breeder, and trainer Cath McDowell along with her experienced team, invite the public to attend the property to experience what Winterwood has to offer.

The day will feature Classical riding displays by Classical Dressage Master Jose Mendez, live music by Rob Shannon, as well as a silent auction with young horses being presented for sale.
The Hanoverian Society will also be on site for Foal and Mare Classifications.

There will also be an Equestrian Marketplace on site featuring Zaldi Saddles, McDowells Herbal, Wilmont Clothing, along with Equine practitioners and TAFE horse courses.

Breathtaking garden walks around the remarkable property will also be featured, with BBQ, food and drink available at the Cavallo Bar on site.

Winterwood Farm extends a warm invitation to the public for this day and encourages everyone to attend no matter what their inclination toward horses may be.
