New Rolex Grand Slam of Show Jumping Live Contender, The Dutch Masters.

Geneva, 11 March 2024 – The Rolex Grand Prix at The Dutch Masters – the opening Rolex Grand Slam of Show Jumping Major of 2024 – was won by Willem Greve from the Netherlands riding Highway TN N.O.P., with Sweden’s Henrik von Eckermann finishing second and Dutchman Harrie Smolders in third.

In total, 37 riders, including the six top-ranked riders in the world, contested the coveted Rolex Grand Prix, with Greve’s impressive display of speed, athleticism and bravery aboard Highway TN N.O.P., a 12-year-old stallion, proving unbeatable.

Nine combinations progressed through to Louis Konickx’s masterfully designed jump-off course. First into the arena was Rolex Testimonee Fuchs, a three-time former Major winner, with his esteemed grey gelding Leone Jei. The talented partnership set the standard with an impressive clear round. World No. 1, von Eckermann – a former winner of this class – showed a remarkable display of pace and precision to take over the lead. However it was Greve, as the last into the arena, who surpassed his rivals, claiming victory by just 0.04 seconds. In doing so, Greve became the first Dutch rider to win a Rolex Grand Slam of Show Jumping Major.

Greve will now head to the CHIO Aachen as the Rolex Grand Slam of Show Jumping live contender. Launched in 2013, the Rolex Grand Slam of Show Jumping rewards the rider who, consecutively, wins the Grand Prix at three of the four Majors, namely The Dutch Masters, the CHIO Aachen, the CSIO Spruce Meadows ‘Masters’ Tournament and the CHI Geneva. It is considered to be the sport’s ultimate challenge and to date has only been achieved by one person – Rolex Testimonee Scott Brash, who completed the treble in 2015.
