Peter Mackay from Moree was the ASH Gentleman Rider on Saturday evening at the Australian Stock Horse Spectacular

Christopher Ware had been successful in classes throughout the Royal Show and also won the Australian Stock Horse Junior Rider 12 yrs & under 17 yrs

Carly Domrow had another successful show with winning the Australian Stock Horse Amateur Rider 17 yrs & under 25 yrs. Carly also rode the Bauer Family's 'Jondel Gunsmoke' to win the Australian Stock Horse Utility class & Working Gelding 4 yrs & over class

'Smart Little Omega' owned by JR & KR. Birney working out in the Australian Stock Horse Station Hack

Winner of the Australian Stock Horse Colt/Filly or Gelding 'Gatton Remedys Reaction' exhibited by Paula Thomas & A. Lever

The University of Qld Gatton Campus had strong entries with a number of their students gaining wonderful experience whilst exhibiting the horses from the University's Equine Unit

'Yarramine Bruce' exhibited by Peter Mackay won the ASH gelding 2 yrs & under 4 yrs class

'Ropely Park Solitaire' exhibited by R & A. Linneth completing their presentation before the judge to be placed 3rd in the Australian Stock Horse Colt under 2 yrs

Max Glasser & the Top selling filly of the sale 'Glencoe What Now' who placed 4th in the ASH Filly under 2 yrs

The led classes held early Sunday morning gave prospective buyers at the Select For The Future Sale a closer look at the stock being offered later in the day at the sale

A large crowd of interested people & prospective buyers followed the sale catalogue with interest, some from interstate by mobile phone and others flying in to attend in person from as far as Victoria

John & Nicholas Hannaghan flew in from Victoria purchasing 'Glencoe What Now' to add to their breeding program. Max & Lynne Glasser from Acland were very pleased with the sale of the filly sired by 'Glencoe abstract' & dam: 'Glencoe Try Now'

Darren & Kathy De Jong from Manilla NSW were delighted with the sale of their 1 yr olf colt 'Ophir Command' sired by 'Kirkbys Stud Officer' & dam 'Ophir Victoria'. The highest priced colt sold at the sale & Central Qld purchaser Toni O'Neill intends to use the colt for campdrafting.

Landmark Auctioneers Mark Scholes and Peter Brazier were kept on their toes as bidders furiously made offers on the lots offered

The 11th Select For The Future Sale saw 58 horses sold, 19 passed in & 10 withdrawn with an average price of $3336 making it a very successful sale and with the drought conditions as they are, there were no obvious signs with the standard & quality offered for sale

Lot 87 'Kyeema Sunda' received plenty of interest with bids and finishing off with the highest price to be offered for a Broodmare sold at the sale. The vendor from Bungunya also received the award for the Best Presented Broodmare receiving $200 from Landmark. The Mare is in foal to the successful Open campdraft sire 'Hazelwood Conman'

The stalls where the sale horses were stabled was a buzz with prospective buyers getting a last look before the sale commenced

Paula Craig was on fire when she completed a great workout to win the Australian Stock Horse Working Mare 4 yrs & over class with 'Rippin Little Ritzy'

'Koorala Black Label' exhibited by Russell & Amanda Sweeper once again is successful in winning Champion ASH Stallion or Colt pictured with the sponsor of the class Judy Schafferius from Dandilla ASH Stud & judge Joanne Fraser of Warwick

Reserve Champion ASH Stallion or Colt for 'Cadabra' exhibited by Maryanne Gough after winning the ASH Stallion 4 yrs & over class

Reserve Champion ASH Mare or Filly 'Waylon J Reflections' exhibited by Kay Verrall after winning the ASH Filly 2 yrs & under 4 yrs class

A new look for Ashley Harris with an Akubra for her very 1st ASH class taking out the Reserve Champion ASH Gelding with 'Musk Park Supreme'

The arena wasn't big enough for the huge number of entries in the Australian Stock Horse Progeny Pair by same sire or out of same dam,so judge, Joanne Fraser was forced to split the class into two to allow enough area for the presentation of the horses

Karen Nicoll had every reason to smile after winning the Champion ASH Gelding with 'Springvale Blueprint' on left and Champion ASH Mare or Filly with 'Springvale Sabrina' on right. Karen not only took out these two champion awards, but also the Most Successful Exhibitor after winning Champion & Reserve Champion Ridden ASH the day before
