The dust could be seen travelling across the valley to the west of the Toowoomba Showgrounds and with the strong gusty wind accompaning the dust, there was anticipation of ugly times ahead. Thankfully the westerly wind did churn up the dust but the dust storm that had been forecasted, never reached the extreme conditions that it had a week ago.
