Alice Hamer from New Zealand, just missed making the Trans Tasman Challenge (as Showmanship) team. Alice was given a catch ride on  Cherie Mills' 'Vancouver Park Dollar Girl' and took fourth place in the 14 Year Old Horse Deals Showmanship class.

Barastoc Ringmaster, Fiona Mardling was very pleased with the between 10 and 20% increase in Barastoc entries this year of roughly 2000 horses. Certainly the catalogue is the biggest ever.

Thomas Madigan from a very wet Mackay in Queensland made it back to back Barastoc 8-12 Rider of the Year. He rode Sophie Scott's 'Morningside Daybreak' to claim the title and a little later also claimed the Mal Byrne Saddlery  Large Pony Show Hunter (rider 18 years and under) Of The Year with the very well performed pony.
