Barastoc Horse of the Year Show

A fifth day was added to the Barastoc schedule this year to accommodate Pony Dressage and over 150 entries were received for the increasingly popular discipline.Well known hack rider, Rebecca Farren stepped aboard Ceily Cornish's, well performed Part Arabian, Barnoolut Rimini to ride in the Novice 2A.

Jorjia Adams rode her New Forest Pony, Forestway Phoenix in the Preliminary 1A.

Elizabeth Alexander rode G. Hipwell's imported Furzley Brocaide in the Novice 2A.

Jamie Blundy rode her Karanah Park Tallycat in the Preliminary 1B.

Stephanie Goodlet rode Binalong Park Piper to score 67.6% in the Prelim. 1B Division 1.

Ellena Boura rode her Welsh Pony, Westbury Beckham to win the Prelim. 1A. Division 1. It was good to see today that the ponies came in all shapes, breeds, colours and sizes and the riders were all ages but they all competed on a "level playing field"

Libby Greshner rode her well performed Welsh Pony, Beauparc Exquisite in the Prelim. 1B.

In its 41st year Barastoc Horse of the Year show continues to grow. This year an extra day has been added to include pony dressage which was a huge hit with over 150 entries. Acacia Harvey and Raninbury McGregor look to be enjoying their ride in the first Barastoc Pony Dressage competition.
