Darwin Royal Show 2008

Susan Barton-Johnson and her Lutz gelding, AV Rocco won the Best Presented Horse/Pony over 18 years.

Rana Everett and her Welsh pony, Roskyle Jeremy Fisher stride out in the Stallion over 3 years any other breed (AOB).

Sam Fisher and her Anglo Arabian, Machismo won the stallion over 3 years AOB and went on to be declared Champion Led Stallion.

Angela Davey was pleased with the performance of her Thoroughbred Gelding, Swamp Thing, winning the TB gelding class and then being declared Champion Led Thoroughbred. Swamp Thing had a short and successful racing career winning $47,000 before an injury forced his retirement.

Sally Shaw was pleased with her pony, Andlyn Park Fashion that won the Mare AOB under 14hh and over 3 years.

Kelly Faulkner's, IDH Ipse won the led Warmblood Gelding Class.

Melissa Parry led Diamond Rose to win the Thoroughbred Mare class.

Kathleen Davey led Gazelle De Gwaihir to win the Arabian Filly or Mare class.

Russell Simpson led Kathy Simpson's, Regal Crystal Blaze to be declared Champion Led Australian Stock Horse.

Lilly Bisset-O'Shea and her Welsh pony, Livingston Lidrift had a good debut at the Royal Darwin show, winning the Best Presented Handler under 18 years, AOB Gelding under 14hh and Best Territory Bred exhibit over 3 years.

Cindy Busse from Alice Springs was pleased she made the trip to Darwin with her Prue Arabian, Rahma Park Shah of the Nile. The typey chestnut was declared Champion Arabian Exhibit, taking home the Peter Close Memorial Award.

Jenny Watts was on the move with Joan of Ark to win the Mare AOB over 14hh.

Victorian Darrel Hayes, got off to a false start with last year's Champion Led Gelding exhibit, Porshe Mason's, Lemrac's Laureate. However, they got back on track to reclaim the title.

Russell Simpson led his Australian Stock Horse, Trudie to be declared Champion AOB under 3 years.

Adrienne Simmons was thrilled when her Warmblood mare, Nekarbo Donner Rose was declared Supreme Led Exhibit, after winning the Led Warmblood Mare class and Champion Led Mare. Donner Rose was breed by Adrienne out of her Contact Mare by Donnerheist.

Amelia Palmer and Stardust Rustler produced a good work out to win the Ridden Stallion Class.

Joseph Hazelbane and Charlie from the Darwin Horse and Pony Club, won the Pony Club E Grade Table A.

Carly Jonsson rode Silver Tongue to win the Encouragement Trail.

Local singing sensation, Susan Bisset was pleased with the performance of her new mare, Chica, placing second in the Encouragement Western Trial class.

Nicky Bauer and Wanamara Super Visa head over the bridge in the Western Trail class. Early in the day Super Visa was declared Champion Quarter Horse Stallion.

Madelyn Farrington and This Gal is Cool had four faults in the D Grade Pony Club Table A.

Kirsty Naga and Minichant Model won the dressage yesterday and today they won the D grade Pony Club Table A.

Shannon Florance and Yarrols Bindi Bandi jumped a double clear in the Pony Club D Grade Table A to take third place.

Kate Naga and Alalin Park Terisa jumped a double clear to take second place in the Pony Club D Grade Table A.

Iveta Saitz and Theyona Bay Billy had a good day in the Western ring, taking out both the Champion Trail and Western Performance Horse.

Vicki Lewfatt was very pleased with the performance of her own and Janette Wilson's, Thoroughbred gelding, Jetcent, winning the Ladies hack over 15hh and placing second in the tough EFA hack class over 15hh. Jetcent is in his first hack season, after a short racing career during which he had three wins from sixteen starts.

Darrell Hayes stepped aboard Jane Shaw's, Story, to win the EFA Hack over 15hh and the Gents Hack over 15hh. Story was formerly owned by the late Pauline van Heythuysen and her husband, Terry, from Victoria. Early in the day Story was declared Reserve Champion Led Gelding.

Angela Davey rode Morningside Cheek to Cheek to win the Pony Club C Grade table A.

Krystal Balke and Emeralds Odyssey took third place in the C Grade Pony Club table A.

After a good day in the dressage arena yesterday, Val Thomas' Theyonas Madonna was declared Reserve Champion Western Performance Horse. Earlier in the day Madonna took out the Quarter Horse Mare Championship.
