Katja Weimann rode Vaughan Ellis and Rosemarie Hazard-Ellis', very fit looking Tomahawk Tom in the CCI*. This combination is in provisional eighth place on 53.1 after the first day of dressage. Katja is also one of the six finalists for the Palmer Higgs Marketing Development Award being judged later in the day.

Raquel Corbett rode her own Thoroughbred, Hygain GI Jo in the CCI* for a dressage score of 59.7 and provisional 23rd place after the first day of dressage.

Claudia Graham produced a good test riding her Thoroughbred by Nothin' Leica Dane, Park Street Vision in the CCI* to be in provisional equal sixth place with 52.8.

Shay Smith from Victoria rode Jenny and Thomas Smith's, Hitmonchan to score 60.9 in the dressage phase of the CCI**.

Cooper Oborn from SA rode his own Thoroughbred, Splurge to score 53.4 to hold onto ninth place after the dressage phase of the CCI**.

To everyone's surprise Werribee put on the most perfect winter weather conditions for the first day of the 3DE, allowing people to enjoy the sunshine. However, the forecast is not so good for Sunday.

Kelly Diemer rode her Thoroughbred, CPH Thundercat in the CCI* for a dressage score of 57.7 and provisional 18th place after the first day of dressage for the 67 strong one star field.

Melanie Knill rode her Thoroughbred, Alpha Domus in the CCI* for 55.8 and provisional 11th place.

Jenny Bowker from Victoria rode her own Radish to score 66.9 in the CCI**.

Eleanor Osborne from Qld. rode her own Thoroughbred, Mighty High to score 56.6 in the dressage phase of the CCI**.

Emma Scott rode her own and Wyn and Jason Scott's, Thoroughbred/WB X Jenbern Monyana in the CCI*to take provisional second place after the first day of dressage with 48.9. Emma is also one of the six finalists for the Palmer Higgs Marketing Development Award being judged later in the day.

Elizabeth Brown from New Zealand was an impressive winner of the dressage phase of the CCI**. with a score of 49.8. Elizabeth rode her own and Hanton Lodge's, Henton Attorney General, a Hanoverian by Anamour.

Felicity Braithwaite from SA rode her own Thoroughbred, Allegro Con Fuoco to score 75.3 in the dressage phase of the CCI**.

Natalie Blundell from NSW rode Julie McLean and John Glenn's Thoroughbred, Algebra to score 51.4 to hold fourth place after the dressage phase of the CCI**.

John Thomson from Qld rode his own Liberty Mac to score 61.4 in the dressage phase of the CCI**. A new addition to the Melbourne 3DE was live scoring in arena one, as seen above John's head.

Emma Dougall from Qld. rode her own Wenlock Lodore to score 59.3 in the dressage phase of the CCI**.

Hamish Cargill from NSW rode Alannah and Paul Cargill's, Steamboat to score 58.6 in the dressage phase of the CCI**.

Stuart Tinney rode Gwen and S. and K. Tinney's, WB/TB by Stirling Sprite, Orchard Hill to hold third place after the dressage phase of the CCI** with a score of 50.9, just 1.1 behind the leader.

Tiffany Higgins rode her own Thoroughbred, If Only to score 61.3 in the dressage phase of the CCI*.

Amanda Howell riding Shannon Harris' Donnerheist gelding, Sunvalley Donnerhe took equal fifth place after the dressage phase of the CCI** ,with a score of 51.7.

Luke Jones from SA rode his own thoroughbred, Captain Fantastic to score 62.1 in the CCI**.

Stephanie Bender from NSW rode her own Warmblood, Gipsy Princess to score 53.6 for 10th place in the dressage phase of the CCI**. Stephanie is also a finalist in the Palmer Higgs Marketing Development Award, to be judged later in the day.

Christopher Burton from NSW rode Michelle Lang-MCMahon's, Thoroughbred, Kolora Stud Secrets to score 50.5 to hold onto second place after the dressage phase of the CCI**.

Sandra Lucus from NSW rode Kylie Robert's, Costalot to score 55.2 in the dressage phase of the CCI**.

Tarsha Hammond from NSW rode her own Thoroughbred, Rio Lobo to score 59.1 in the dressage phase of the CCI**.

Lucinda Lambert from Tasmania rode her own TB x Arab X ASH, Lethal Contender to score 70.4 in the CCI**. Lucinda is also one of the six finalists for the Palmer Higgs Marketing Development Award being judged later in the day.

A new layout for the Werribee trade stands had them forming a laneway from the main stable block up the old trop up area to the indoor school. Even on the first day, traders reported good sales.
