Chicago by the Warmblood stallion, Medallion out of a Thoroughbred mare was purchased from Paul Austin  and Tess looks to have a bright future in front of her with the beautiful, well educated horse.

Young Queensland rider, Beau Cunning has had great success at the Nationals over the years. Junior Champion Rider in 2005 and 2006, Beau has now claimed back to back Intermediate Rider Championships, claiming the Douglas Family Intermediate Rider title today.

The McMahon and McCormick Families' 'Silkwood Angel Wings' was pre post favourite to win the Wagners Saddler and Equine Tailors' Small Pony Championship and she did not disappoint. With Holly Lewis in the saddle, Angle Wings put on her now characteristic brilliant and still enthusiastic display to claim back to back titles. Angle Wings again took out the Leading Rein /Small Pony double for Victoria.

Francesca Christie rode Stephen Merry's outstanding and exquisite, 'SLM Mind Games' to take out the Decron Horse Care Large Hack Reserve Championship. The Champion and Reserve titles were in reverse order to last year and it must have been a close decision.

"She who must be obeyed", in the nicest possible way of course. Melinda Ralph was one of an outstanding National organising committee that created a super, friendly and well organised horse show and the best Nationals ever.
