Ranch Sorting competitors travelled from far and wide to attend the Ranch Sorting National Championships Australia on the 2nd - 4th June at the Dubbo Showgrounds, NSW, undercover arena. There were competitors from Western Australia, South Australia, Queensland and all over New South Wales. Some of the interstate riders who had flown to Sydney for the event in 2022, had so thoroughly enjoyed it last year that they made the effort to drive 3 days to attend with their own horses this year! With a total number of runs for the 3 days adding up to 1251, it was a busy weekend for everyone. As always, there was a great range of ages competing, with classes for very young riders, all the way up to the Masters Class for over 50yrs riders, and everything in between. The major presentation for the 2022/23 Pointscore Year was held at the conclusion of the weekend, with a huge range of prizes, including saddles, bridles, rugs, buckles and more - all made possible by the very generous sponsors - CINCH, Todd Jeys Saddlery, AEW Horse Walkers, Cams Complete Asset Management, Wazz-A-Cow Cutter, Castlereagh Hotel, Westside Hotel, Marsh Carney Saddlery, Inland Petroleum, ICONOCLAST and Dubbo Regional Council.
