A busy Mark Brown got his show off to a good start by taking out the Welsh Cob Filly Championship with his and Denise Brown's Yearling, 'Indi Marie Louise' (Indi llewellen/Durrant Melba) . The flying filly went on to be declared Supreme Champion Youngstock Cob.

The rain certainly did not seem to affect Denise Reynolds and her super Welsh A, 'Nattai Fairy Starlight' (Nattai Prophert/Nattai Amberlight II. Denise  took second place in the Driver class and the pony was declared Reserve Champion Section A & B Harness Pony.

No fear of bushfire at the 34th Victorian All Welsh Show, but there is a flood alert out for the Shepparton and Tatura area. Maddie Bethell from Gordon near Ballarat thought she had better give her gumboots a road test.

Given the concern with the bushfire threat of the traditional beginning of January scheduling the show was brought forward a month. No worry of bushfires this year, but floods were rather a problem.
